Vidders That Inspire Me (& Why)

♥Lexi: Lexi *always* knows the best songs to use, and she always knows which couple/character/cast the song fits best with. I have always been a big fan of her videos but the ones that I have come to admire the most, are her more dramatic ones. Lexi knows how to set a tone/mood like nobody's business. Which is why her AU's turn out breathtaking.

♥Flor: Ever since Flor first started vidding and sumbitting her videos at the Sweetly Undeniable Awards site, I knew that she was going to be one of the great ones. Flor's videos are never flashy, showy, gaudy, or effect-driven; her videos always have this simplistic tone to them. However, every one of her videos are truly great and seem to be made with such ease. Her videos always leave me with this warm & fuzzy feeling that I wish I could leave people with.

♥Katie: "Confession", "Let Down", "Time", "Brighter Than Sunshine" . . . must I go on? Katie's videos are almost idealized in my mind. I was even a little disappointed when I heard that she wasn't going to be using WMM anymore to edit, because her using *that* program AND being able to produce amazing videos made her like Super!Vidder in my mind. I also watch Katie's vids hoping to learn from her coloring, pacing, and flowing editing style. I have yet to see a Katie video that I couldn't learn a little bit something from

♥Samantha Jackson: I'd say that the videos I enjoy the most out of SJ's are the ones that make smile and laugh. SJ has such a PERFECT sense of scene selection that all of her videos seem so perfectly planned out. I have always admired her keen song usage in all of her videos, and I still hope to some day be able to utilize every moment of every scene as she does.

♥Shoopdancer: Whether her videos are lighthearted and fun ("Never You Mind"); or intense and inventive ("Red"); or laughing-your-ass-off hilarious ("Woo Hoo"); her videos are always something new to look forward too. She seems like she'll try any type of idea once, and will always come out on top. Shoop has this unique style that is fluent and awe-worthy; and I have always loved that about her vids.

♥Quee Rose: Her videos rock and she shouldn't let anyone tell her otherwise! Although her Harry Potter videos (of which she is a master at) are what intitially drew me to her works; it was her Veronica Mars "Pieces of A Dream" that still continues to amaze me. Quee knows her source material inside-and-out, and I don't believe she would vid it otherwise! All of her videos are always thought-worthy and visually great. Every video she makes has a sort of story behind it or is planned out with deep though, and that is what I try to learn from her.

♥Aimee: I couldn't even begin to start listing the particual vids of Aimee's that has inspired me the most. I've loved her vids even before I knew her, and they continue to amaze me. Her character studies are my absolute favorite of hers, and the ones I find myself constantly rewinding in hopes that the brilliance will rub off on me. For a lot of vidders it is glaringly obvious that they excel far more in one particular fandom or genre, however with Aimee her excellence in vidding is apparent in every t.v. fandom/film or genre; which is what I admire most about her as a vidder.

♥Ryan: Dude. "Feeling This" "The Kids Aren't Alright" "Trust" "Brain Stew" "Vindicated" "Down With The Sickness" "When I Grow Up", I could've stopped naming them like five videos back but I would feel like I would be betraying all those unnamed (and I still do since he has about a ton more kickass videos!) I felt like I practically grew up watching these videos (it's been like 4 years since I first watched some of them). Ryan's videos, to me, have always had this distinct originality aspect to each and every one of them. He can definitely do angst like it *should* be done! His videos, his effects, his editing are probably the closest to what I truly deem "professional". And that is what I admire about his videos.

♥Whereistheluv: *bows down to my main veronica mars music video inspiration* This vidder has managed to make me love videos to movies I don't even like ("virgin suicides"). Her VM videos, even if short or incredibly long, always are beautiful and so well thought out. Even when she get's vidder's block for awhile, I never worry because I know her first project out of vidder's block will always turn out spectacular.

♥Elishamarie: *bows down to au/slash queen* Elishamarie inspires me and all my AU/slash vidding aspirations!

♥Obsessive24: "Post Blue" is probably one of the best fanvids I've ever watched (And this is coming from a person who has never watched Firefly or Serenity, lol. But my absolute personal favorite of obsessive24's is "Maybe Tomorrow" for which the editing was definitely flawless, but more importantly (to me at least) was an excellent character study/story that flowed brilliantly. It might help that I'm in the minority as a Christoper (and CL) fan, lol.

♥Destiny: I knew 100% that Destiny was an amazing vidder after watching "Meds", but "My Goddess" has to be by far my favorite video out of Destiny's vids. The editing is just the "wow" kind of amazing, and the song is SO perfect for Tess. I seriously can't get the entire video out of my head, it is by far also one of the best I've ever watched.

♥Sarah Beth: Last, but oh very certaintly not least, is Sarah Beth. "Jumper" was in fact, one of *the* most inventive and creative videos I've ever seen. And she did this, not by relying on built-in software produced effects, but by utilizing your imagination and finding what she could do with simple things like integrating screencaps into the video. I adore her, and her vids for that. And "Bodies", well I cannot even begin to say how much that video inspired me towards trying to pursue my own video of action (which I still hope to do one day). This is why I am inspired by her vids: her creativity is overwhelmingly spectacular!
